What "TMG Credentials Checked" means.

TMG does not tell you who is a good doctor. TMG tells you what we could independently establish about the doctor and clinic.

The seal is a factual claim, so this page defines it precisely: what we check, what we don't, how often we re-check, and where our limits are. If a profile carries the seal, everything below was done — with dates shown on the profile.

What we check

Practitioner license

We confirm the practitioner appears in the relevant national registry of health professionals — in Colombia, ReTHUS — and record the registration details on the profile.

Clinic registration

We confirm the facility appears as a registered health-service provider — in Colombia, the government's REPS system — for the services listed.

Credentials checked

We check stated specialties, society memberships (such as SCCP for plastic surgeons), and accreditations against publicly available records.

In-person visit

We visit the facility, meet the team, confirm the English-speaking coordination exists as described, and film the interview where the practitioner agrees.

What we don't check — and don't claim

We verify that providers are identifiable, registered and appropriately listed in the public records we check. We do not assess clinical quality, medical competence, safety or whether a provider is appropriate for an individual patient. Specifically:

Not an endorsement

The seal does not certify medical quality, surgical skill, or safety, and is not a recommendation to choose any provider.

Not a guarantee

No outcome is promised or implied. All procedures carry risk that only a licensed physician can assess for your case.

Not real-time

Registrations and licenses can change after our check. Every profile shows its "last reviewed" date, and we re-review at least every 12 months.

Our independence. Clinics cannot pay for the seal, and no clinic currently pays us anything. If any commercial relationship ever exists — sponsorship, featured placement, referral — it will be labeled plainly on every affected page, separately from verification.

The future: verified patient voices

As the guide matures, we plan to add patient testimonials — but only under the same discipline: experiences we can verify actually happened at the listed clinic, clearly dated, never edited into marketing. Until we can do that properly, we won't publish testimonials at all.
